What They Do

Doctronic operates an AI-enabled consultation platform that pairs automated intake and triage with clinician video visits. The company positions itself as an AI-native primary care layer for the whole family rather than a single-condition telehealth product, with a free AI consult layer and on-demand physician visits for insurance copay or a $39 cash price. Its March 2026 Series B announcement said the platform served more than 300,000 unique weekly users, operated a 50-state clinical practice, and was already selling cobranded partnerships to health systems, payers, and employers. With the July 2026 summer-health acquisition, it added a dedicated pediatric vertical and said it would use Summer Health's pediatric conversational data and intake flow to deepen its family-care offering.

Competitive Position

Doctronic enters pediatrics as an adult-first platform buying its way into the age band, which distinguishes it from pediatric-native players such as blueberry-pediatrics and hazel-health and from family-benefits platforms such as maven-clinic. Its differentiator is claimed AI depth rather than clinical network or payer contracting, and the pediatric conversational dataset from the summer-health acquisition is the asset it is explicitly betting on. The strategic risk is the same one that has limited most DTC pediatric telehealth: a subscription and commercial-insurance model reaches the families least likely to be underserved, and the Medicaid channel where pediatric access is worst requires contracting infrastructure this platform has not demonstrated.
